'Wonder Woman' Actor Chris Pine Disses Marvel's 'Avengers: Infinity War'
Movie

Pine, who stars in the DC film, has weighed in on the never-ending DC-Marvel debates by dinging the upcoming Marvel superhero team-up movie.

AceShowbiz - "Wonder Woman" star Chris Pine is among the people who weigh in on the never-ending DC-Marvel debates. During "Wonder Woman" press junket, the actor expresses his view towards superhero movies in general and ends up dissing Marvel's upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War".

"Within this genre, it's difficult to do something new," Pine says. "And usually you just see a bunch of people killing one another in the outfits and blowing up cities, and, you know. Like, I know there's a thing called 'Infinity War' coming out, which I like, I don't... Really? Like, 'Infinity War?' We need more war for all time?" he adds.

On the other hand, Pine praises DC's "Wonder Woman" for breaking the boundaries of superhero genre, in a way that it features "a woman who's about love and compassion, and love trumps all." Pine adds, "How great is that? That's a pretty crazy awesome thing."

DC-Marvel debates have been going on for decades, with fans constantly arguing about which superhero movies are better, the DC ones or the Marvel ones. It is fueled by the fact that some of DC films, which include "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad", are not very well-reviewed compared to Marvel movies.

Last October, Samuel L. Jackson, who portrays Nick Fury in "The Avengers" and some of Marvel movies, gave his opinion about Marvel vs. DC rivalry. "I think there's room for everybody to exist out here, and the fact that it's not working or doesn't work or people want a specific thing-that's what makes the movies the movies and what makes audiences, audiences," Jackson said. "So, hopefully [DC will] make one of those movies one of these days and it'll be as big as a Marvel movie," he added.

"Wonder Woman" is currently screening in U.S. theaters. "Avengers: Infinity War" will hit U.S. theaters on May 4, 2018.
