A new teaser for "It" was released on Sunday, May 7 during the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards. The video captures the innocent bliss of kids in Derry, Maine, followed by a glimpse of their bullies and scenes of them exploring an abandoned house.

The second half of the video offers a sneak peek at the beginning of the terror that haunts the Losers' Club. Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher), Richie Tozier (Finn Wolfhard), Eddie Kaspbrak (Jack Dylan Grazer) and Stanley Uris (Wyatt Oleff) are seen exploring a sewer, though some of them hesitate to go in.

They find a shoe that belongs to Betty Ripsom, one of the missing children in the area. A red balloon is then seen floating in the drain, followed by shots of the boys looking terrified. At the end of the video, Pennywise shows his face to one of the children.

Directed by Andres Muschietti and based on Stephen King's novel, "It" follows seven children known as The Losers Club who have to face life problems, bullies and killer monster Pennywise. The clown monster haunts Derry, Maine, every 30 years and terrorizes its victims by exploiting their fears and phobias.

The killer clown will be portrayed by Bill Skarsgard in the upcoming movie and Muschietti promises that Skarsgard's take on the character will be "more terrifying." Gary Dauberman, Chase Palmer and Cary Joji Fukunaga write the script based on King's novel.

Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, Sophia Lilis and Javier Botet also star in the thriller which is set to terrorize moviegoers starting September 8 in the United States.
