Matthew McConaughey channels his dark side, gearing up for a battle against Idris Elba in the adaptation of Stephen King's novel.

"The Dark Tower" gets a couple of teasers ahead of the trailer premiere. One features Matthew McConaughey as the nefarious Man in Black or Walter Padick and the other highlights the hero, Roland Deschain a.k.a. the Gunslinger, who is played by Idris Elba.
"The war is over. You know what's coming. the Tower will fall," the main baddie says. Meanwhile, his opponent says in the other clip, "I do not kill with my gun, I kill with my heart." McConaughey and Elba also channel their characters as they're engaged on banter on Twitter. "You know nothing of me," Elba tweets, to which McConaughey replies, "I know this. Deal with it." Elba writes back, "I deal in lead."
Directed and co-written by Nicolaj Arcel, the movie is based on Stephen king's novel series of the same name. The feature film is scheduled to make its way out across the country on August 4, 2017 while the trailer will debut on Wednesday, May 3.
