'Fargo' Season 3 New Sneak Peeks Tease How Nikki Gets Ray Under Her Skin

Two new sneak peeks have been released by FX, featuring presumably first encounter between Ewan McGregor's Ray and Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Nikki where the latter perfectly gets Ray under her skin.

AceShowbiz - Following the previously-released extended trailer, two brand-new sneak peeks for the upcoming season 3 of "Fargo" arrive online. Although the sneak peeks are both short, they offer a better look at the series' next installment starring Ewan McGregor.

One of the sneak peeks, titled "Hi", features McGregor's parole officer Ray Stussy and his girlfriend Nikki Swango (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a crafty and alluring recent parolee with a passion for competitive bridge. The clip presumably hints at Ray's first encounter with Nikki.

The clip sees Nikki, who dons a very low V-neck black top and a pair of ripped black jeans, taking a seat in front of Ray's desk. She coolly sits on the chair with her leg crossed, while casually chewing a gum. With a seductive look on her face, she greets Ray, "Hi."

Ray, who previously pays zero attention to her and rather gives an annoyance expression at her present, is surprised by the unexpected sight before him. As if he has been smitten with Nikki, he greets back with an obvious awkward smile on his face. The clip ends with Nikki blowing up her chewing gum before it pops.

Meanwhile, another video titled "World" puts highlight on Carrie Coon's character, a police officer named Gloria Burgle, who is interrogating a man. The man says, "This fella comes in...," but before he finishes his line, Gloria interrupts. She distrustfully asks, "Fella, singular?" to which the man answers with annoyance, "Y-yeah, singular means just one."

The promo later shows Ray's more successful brother Emmit (also played by McGregor) and a scene where Ray's car is hit by a car, which is apparently owned by Michael Stuhlbarg's Sy Feltz. Toward the end of the promo, someone is seen furiously hitting something with a bat.

Set in 2010, the third installment of "Fargo" centers on Emmit and his slightly younger brother Ray Stussy. Emmit, the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, sees himself as an American success story, whereas Ray is more of a cautionary tale. Forever living in his more successful brother's shadow, Ray is a balding and pot-bellied parole officer with a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he's been dealt-and he blames his brother. Their sibling rivalry follows a twisted path that begins with petty theft but soon leads to murder, mobsters and cut-throat competitive bridge.

Coon's Gloria is described as a steady chief of the local police department and newly-divorced mother who tries to understand the new world around her, where people connect more intimately with their phones than with the people around them. Also starring on the series is David Thewlis as V.M. Vargas, a mysterious loner and true capitalist whose bosses plan to partner with Emmit, whether "The Parking Lot King" likes it or not.

Creator/showrunner/writer/director Noah Hawley will executive produce alongside Joel and Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield and John Cameron. MGM Television and FX Productions produce the series, with MGM Television serving as the lead studio.

"Fargo" season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, April 19 at 10 P.M. on FX.
