Director Ridley Scott reveals that the next possible 'Alien' movie will be titled 'Alien: Awakening'.

There may be more Xenomorphs than we can imagine after the release of the upcoming "Alien: Covenant". Director Ridley Scott hasn't only revealed that "Covenant" may have a sequel, but he seemingly has also slipped out the title of the next possible "Alien" movie.

While speaking alongside "Covenant" star Katherine Waterston in an interview with Fandango, it seems like Scott has accidentally let everyone know that the possible "Covenant" sequel will be titled "Alien: Awakening".

"There will be another one before we kind of literally and logically, clockwise, back into the rear back head of [the original] 'Alien'," Scott says. "It will go 'Prometheus', 'Awakening', 'Covenant'."

Waterston soon interrupts him, suggesting that the director is supposed to keep it secret. "You're giving away too much!" she says. However, Scott goes on saying that there will be indeed more "Alien" movies if "Covenant" is successful. "If this is successful, and then the next one, and then there will definitely be three more," says Scott.

Judging from Scott's statement, it seems like "Awakening" won't sit chronologically after "Covenant", but between 2012's "Prometheus" and "Covenant" instead. And if "Covenant" and "Awakening" are successful, there may be even more "Alien" trilogy.

In the meantime, we can watch the upcoming "Alien: Covenant" which is set to hit U.S. theaters on May 19. The movie follows the story of colony ship Covenant which travels to a planet faraway. The crew think they will discover an uncharted paradise in that planet, but they find dark and dangerous world instead.

Also starring alongside Waterston in "Alien: Covenant" are James Franco, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir and Carmen Ejogo. Noomi Rapace will reprise her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw from "Prometheus".
