Series executive producers Adam Horowitz and Adam Kitsis have previously confirmed that "Once Upon a Time" will feature a musical episode later in season six. And now new details about the musical episode have surfaced. Lana Parrilla, the actress who plays Evil Queen, will be among those who belt out a tune, TVLine has learned.
The musical episode, which is likely to air this spring, will feature seven songs. One of the songs will be performed by Emma Swan, who is portrayed by Jennifer Morrison, Entertainment Weekly has reported.
"We're all so excited about it. It's one of those things we've all thought about," said Morrison about the musical episode. "Most of us have musical theater backgrounds or have had singing in our lives, or music in our lives, in some way." The actress added, "We've joked about it, thought about it. We're all just listening to each other songs now trying to work out how the songs fit together and what the storyline is."
"Once Upon a Time" season 6 returns with episode 11 titled "Tougher Than the Rest" on Sunday, March 5 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC. The fairytale-themed series also stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin and Sean Maguire as Robin Hood.
