Movie

The international TV spot features the titular Amazonian princess defending the world, fighting in the middle of World War I by using her sword, shield and the Lasso of Truth.

AceShowbiz - There's only a few months left until "Wonder Woman" hits U.S. theaters and more promotional stuff is released to welcome the movie centering on the titular Amazonian princess. While the movie wasn't promoted during Super Bowl LI, an international TV spot was dropped a day after for fans' viewing pleasure.

The trailer begins with Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) saying, "I used to want to save the world. But the closer you get, the more you see the great darkness within." It later offers a look at the war between Amazonians and German army. Diana later decides to leave her home Themyscira to join Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) to save the world. She unleashes her power to fight in the middle of World War I, using her sword, shield and the Lasso of Truth.

There is still no clue of villain Ares in the international TV spot, but viewers can get a brief look of Danny Huston's unnamed character. The actor has been speculated to play Wonder Woman's nemesis, possibly Ares.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers...and her true destiny.

Also starring in "Wonder Woman" are Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Ewan Bremner, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya and Lisa Loven Kongsli. The superhero movie is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on June 2.
