Sources said that both actors were too demanding, and Watson and Teller are reportedly 'freaking out' now that 'La La Land' wins all the awards.

AceShowbiz - "La La Land" has stolen Hollywood's attention and collected a great deal of nominations from high-profile events. However, would it turn out differently if the lead characters weren't portrayed by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling?

Report said, the roles of Mia and Sebastian in "La La Land" were originally offered to Emma Watson and Miles Teller. But both actors lost them because they demanded too much. "Miles was offered $4 million to star in 'La La Land', but he said he wanted $6 million," a source said in a report obtained by Page Six.

"Watson was offered the lead female role, but she initially wouldn't commit," the source added. "Then she began making all these crazy demands, like rehearsals for the film must be done in London-for a film called 'La La Land'! They jumped through hoops to make it work with her, but she just didn't feel the film was right for her."

Now that "La La Land" gets all the awards, Watson and Teller are reportedly "freaking out." "...both Miles and Emma Watson are raising hell with their agents for not securing the roles for them-even though it was the actors' fault for being too demanding," said the insider.

However, another source said that Watson dropped the offer solely because she was focusing on "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" at that time. Teller, meanwhile, said in a 2015 interview that director Damien Chazelle actually dropped him from "La La Land". "I got a call from my agent, saying, 'Hey, I just got a call from Lionsgate,' " said Teller. " 'Damien told them he no longer thinks you're creatively right for the project. He's moving on without you.' "

Chazelle later explained, "There was a moment where [Watson and Teller] were doing it. And neither of those casting things wound up lasting or working out."

In the meantime, Watson will appear in "Beauty and the Beast" live-action film which will be released on March 17. Teller is currently filming "The Ark and the Aardvark", which is scheduled to be released this year.
