Lupe's highly anticipated album, which is set for release in February, features some big names including Ty Dolla $ign, Rick Ross and Big K.R.I.T. among others.

AceShowbiz - Weeks after announcing his retirement from music, rapper/record producer Lupe Fiasco has apparently changed his mind as he is ready to roll out a new album titled "DROGAS Light". Earlier on Tuesday, December 27, the 34-year-old spitter unveiled the tracklist for his highly anticipated album, which includes appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Rick Ross, Big K.R.I.T. and Victoria Monet.

Prior to revealing the tracklist, Lupe took to Twitter on Saturday, December 24 to announce the album's release date. " 'DROGAS Light' February 10th 2017," so he tweeted. Not only did Lupe provide a release date, he also gave fans a look at his album cover.

The confirmation by the rapper came after a Reddit user claimed that Lupe revealed plans to drop a different version of his previously announced "DROGAS" album on that date. During Lupe's show in Cleveland, the "The Show Goes On" hitmaker vowed to treat fans to new music despite his ongoing battle with his label, Atlantic Records. The user wrote, "He said he could never fully give himself to an album while with Atlantic, so the real 'DROGAS' will be released after a 'lite' version with Atlantic."

This is good news for fans of the Chicago emcee, who previously threatened to scrap his album and retire from music industry. "I get the hint God. Yo Lupe fans it's been fun and I hope you've had fun. I'm officially not releasing anymore music. Albums canceled," so he wrote on Twitter earlier this month.

A major cause of Lupe's retirement seemed to have to do with accusations that he used anti-Semitic lyrics for his "N.E.R.D." freestyle, which he released on Monday, December 12. Soon after he shared the song, the rapper received a lot of backlash from Twitter users, including negative comments from C.E.O. of the Anti Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt.
