AceShowbiz - The schedule of events for president-elect Donald Trump's inauguration has been announced by the Presidential Inauguration Committee. The festivities will begin on Thursday, January 19, with Trump and vice-president elect Mike Pence laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery, followed by a welcome celebration concert at the Lincoln Memorial.
On the same day, Trump will attend pre-inauguration event "All American Inaugural Ball", which takes place at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, Washington. It's being billed as "a toast to American culture, featuring a stellar list of special guests, plus multiple areas of entertainment and attractions, which represent the diversity, energy and promise of America." The "stellar list" includes Nashville singer-songwriter Beau Davidson, '80s cover band The Reagan Years, a wedding band called The Mixx and DJ sets by DJ Romin, DJ Young Rye, DJ Flow and DJ Freedom.
Following the pre-inauguration event, Trump and Pence will be sworn in at the Capitol on Friday, January 20. The two will participate in the parade down Pennsylvania Avenue and attend inaugural balls, where "America's Got Talent" alum Jackie Evancho will sing the national anthem.
Trump has seemingly struggled with booking performers for his grand inauguration on January 20. David Foster previously declined an offer to organize the event, while country singer Garth Brooks was rumored to be on the short list of singers. On Tuesday, December 20, the chairman of the Presidential Inaugural Committee told CNBC that Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli would not be performing at the ceremony.
Tickets for the "All American Inaugural Ball" are on sale now for $350, with a promise on the website that "ticket prices will increase soon." However, for those interested in attending the welcome concert or the parade, no tickets are required for the general public viewing areas.
