'Om Telolet Om', an Indonesian phrase which recently has gone viral, has found its way to social media accounts of world DJs, celebrities and President-elect Donald Trump.

AceShowbiz - "Om Telolet Om" meme from Indonesia has spread worldwide. Thanks to Indonesian social media users, the simple use of this meme has become viral. The phrase appeared on Twitter feed almost 790,000 times during Tuesday, December 20 afternoon until December 21 only.

"Telolet" is originally an onomatopoeia for customized bus horn in Indonesia, while "Om" is the Indonesian word for "uncle." "Om Telolet Om" is a phrase yelled by Indonesian kids to the bus driver to honk the bus. Indonesian social media users dropped their "Om Telolet Om" comments particularly on DJs' social media accounts just for fun, and probably to introduce the new form of DJ-ing.

Cash-Cash, Zedd and DJ Snake are among those who are spammed with the meme. Surprisingly, some DJs responded by tweeting the phrase as well. Some even sampled the Indonesian bus horns into a song. The DJ's enthusiasm could be one of the factors that boost the meme's popularity.

The "Om Telolet Om" has as well invaded the social media accounts of some Hollywood celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as well as the United States President-elect Donald Trump. The funny thing is one of the "Om Telolet Om" spams on Trump's post was not written by Indonesian, but French DJ Snake. "Om Telolet Om," he commented on Tuesday afternoon.

Recently, the "Om Telolet Om" has been announced as the secret headliner for Miami Life in Colour festival, an event featuring electronic musicians and paint-spraying moment throughout the show. The "world largest paint party" will hold its 10-year anniversary in January.
