A new trailer for Oscar-worthy "Fences" has arrived. It sees Denzel Washington as Troy, an athlete-turned-garbage-collector who doesn't want his son Cory (Jovan Adepo) to be a baseball player like him before, as he thinks that racial restrictions will keep them from achieving success.

"I don't want him to be like me. I want him to get as far away from my life as he possibly can get," he tells his wife Rose (Viola Davis), "You're the only decent that ever happened to me." He says at the end of the trailer, "Some people build fences to keep people out, and other people build fences to keep people in."

"Fences" is directed by Denzel from a screenplay written by August Wilson. It's adapted from August's 1983 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play. The drama follows an African American father who struggles with race relations in the United States while trying to raise his family in the 1950s and coming to terms with the events of his life.

Coming to U.S. theaters this year on December 25, the upcoming film is supported by Stephen Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, Christopher Mele, Terri Middleton and Saniyya Sydney.
