20th Century Fox has premiered the first official poster of the highly-anticipated "Alien: Covenant". The creepy poster offers fans a close-up look at the classic extraterrestrial creature Xenomorph along with a simple, but threatening tagline: "Run."

Along with the poster, the studio has announced that the release date of the follow-up to "Prometheus" has been shifted by three months. Originally set to be released on August 4, 2017, the sci-fi flick is now set for a May 19 release in theaters across the U.S.

Ridley Scott serves as a director for "Alien: Covenant", with a script provided by Jack Paglen and Michael Green. Michael Fassbender is returning as android David from the first movie, along with Noomi Rapace who is set to reprise her role as Elizabeth Shaw. The pair are joined by Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Jussie Smollett and Carmen Ejogo.

Set ten years after the event of "Prometheus", the upcoming movie follows a colony ship bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. The crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world - whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
