Kim Kardashian's fans now should wait a little longer to see her back in the spotlight. The 36-year-old reality TV star canceled her scheduled appearance at the Angel Ball held at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday, November 21, in the wake of her husband Kanye West hospitalization.
The event would be Kim's first public appearance since the Paris robbery in early October. Her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian as well as their mother Kris Jenner were seen in attendance at the black-tie event that honored Kim's late father Robert Kardashian, but Kim was a no-show.
When an onlooker asked Kris about her son-in-law Kanye, the momager simply responded, "Exhausted!" The trio were joined by Kris' boyfriend Corey Gamble as well as family friend Jonathan Cheban inside the venue.
Us Weekly reports that Kim "rushed to be Kanye's side" after the rapper was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation. A source tells the site that Kanye has "been suffering from exhaustion and sleep deprivation and went to the hospital today on his own will and under the consultation of his physician."
It was earlier reported that Kanye was admitted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center "for his own health and safety," after his doctors checked him out for severe sleep deprivation. The hospitalization comes following a series of bizarre incidents, including his onstage rant and the cancellation of the remaining of his "Saint Pablo Tour" dates.
