The newly-released trailer of the biopic sees Portman as Jacqueline Kennedy who has difficult days after her husband's assassination.

AceShowbiz - The first full trailer for Jacqueline Kennedy biopic "Jackie" has been released by Fox Searchlight Pictures. It sees Oscar winner Natalie Portman as the U.S. iconic First Lady who is coping with grief after the death of her husband John F. Kennedy, portrayed by Caspar Phillipson.

The two-and-a-half-minute video opens with Jackie saying, "People like to believe in fairy tales." The widow of John F. Kennedy adds, "I believe that the characters we read about on the page end up being more real than the men who stand beside us."

One scene shows her breaking down in tears as she recalls her husband's assassination. "Jack, can you hear me," she says. "Jack? I love you Jack." Another scene shows her whispering, "I'm not the first lady anymore, I lost Jack somewhere. What was real? What was performance?"

Directed by Pablo Larrain and co-produced by Darren Aronofsky, the Jacqueline Kennedy biopic follows the First Lady's first few days in the White House following the assassination of her husband, American president John F. Kennedy in 1963.

Also starring Greta Gerwig, Peter Sarsgaard and Billy Crudup, the movie will be released in select U.S. theaters on December 2.
