It's over for Bella Hadid and The Weeknd. The couple has broken up after dating for more than a year, according to PEOPLE which can confirm that their split is amicable and the former lovers still have "a great deal of love" for each other.
A source tells the site that Bella and The Weeknd's respective busy schedules are behind their decision to call it quits. "Their schedules have been too hard to coordinate and he is focusing on finishing and promoting his album," says the source. "They still have a great deal of love for one another and will remain friends."
Reps for both superstars haven't responded to the news. The Weeknd is currently working on his newest studio installment, "Starboy", which is due out later this month. Meanwhile, Bella has been busy with her modeling career.
However, the famous duo will reunite soon as they're both scheduled to be at the forthcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Paris. The Canadian singer will be one of the event's performers as his ex makes her debut on the lingerie brand's runway.
Bella and The Weeknd began dating in April 2015. They co-starred in his "In the Night" music video before making their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the 2016 Grammy Awards. The pair, who mostly kept their love life private, were last seen together last month during their visit to Tokyo, Japan.
