Kanye West let the world know the state of his friendship with Jay-Z when he ranted about his longtime pal during a show earlier this week. The "Famous" rapper revealed to the massive crowd attending his Seattle concert that Hov hadn't reached out to him or his wife Kim Kardashian following the reality TV star's Paris robbery.

Now, a new report claims that the two men's relationship was never that close to begin with. An insider tells Page Six that Jay-Z can never stand "nut job" 'Ye and he always "looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherf**ker he can tolerate in small doses."

The source goes on speculating that Hov tolerated Kanye when they were working together on the album "Watch the Throne" and the massively successful tour that followed it because "there was so much money to be made." The source shares, "Jay was like, 'I'm gonna knock this out. We're going to do a tour to bring in millions of dollars. I can tolerate that.' "

"That's just perception," the source notes. "The reality is that Jay doesn't want that much to do with him. He likes his own space and is private. They're very much not the same person. Jay's immediate circle is very insular, and Kanye is just a guy who always wants something in the spotlight."

Meanwhile, Hov's wife Beyonce Knowles is reportedly mad at Kanye over his diss. Another source told HollywoodLife.com that the "Single Ladies" hitmaker is "frustrated and disappointed in Kanye" because she thinks they could have solved the problems between them "in private." And instead of igniting a feud with her family, Bey wants Kanye to just focus on Kim's recovery.

"She thinks he should be home taking care of Kim, not putting his energy into this kind of childish negativity. After all the pain and suffering the Paris robbery caused, Bey really doesn't think the world needs them feuding," the source explains.
