"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is not coming to theaters until next year, but Vin Diesel has given a new detail about Baby Groot. While talking about "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" in an interview with Collider, Vin addressed the difference between Groot in the first movie and Baby Groot in the sequel.

"Yeah, there is a difference," the muscled actor shared. "He couldn't be more naive as Baby Groot. I always think of the Groot that we saw on ['Guardians of the Galaxy'] as a college-level Groot, so he's not fully grown yet, but he's a man."

The 49-year-old actor explained, "And once he sacrifices himself at the end of the movie, now he has to start all over, so to speak, but we're gonna see this goofy, adorable, baby Groot thing running around the screen and just learning as he goes."

Vin previously talked about how director James Gunn wanted him to learn how to say "I am Goot" in sixteen languages while appearing on the Thursday, October 13 episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". "Because it went viral, James Gunn now wants to take it from six languages to sixteen," Vin said. "Now he wants to do sixteen languages."

In addition to Vin, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" sees the return of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and Michael Rooker who are set to reprise their roles as Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, the voice of Rocket, Nebula and Yondu respectively. Other cast members include Pom Klementieff, Kurt Russell, Tommy Flanagan, Elizabeth Debicki and Sylvester Stallone.

The second "Guardians of the Galaxy" film is scheduled for a May 5, 2017 release in U.S. theaters. Set to the backdrop of "Awesome Mixtape #2", "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" continues the team's adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage.
