"Krypton" rounds out its cast with six new additions. Created by "Man of Steel" scribe David S. Goyer, the SyFy pilot that focuses on Superman's grandfather Seg-El adds Ian McElhinney, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day and Aaron Pierre.

McElhinney will play Seg-El's grandfather Val-El, Cowan will portray Magistrate Daron-Vex, Ogbomo is cast as Lyta's mother Primus Alura Zod, Hardiker will star as an engineer named Kem, while Day and Pierre join the cast as Nyssa-Vex and Dev-Em respectively.

The Superman prequel is led by Cameron Cuffe as the ancestor of Kal-El a.k.a. Clark Kent. The scion of the once prosperous El family is now living in Krypton's lowest caste after his family was stripped of its rank. He now fights to redeem his family's honor.

Cuffe will share screen with Georgina Campbell. The actress plays a key role, a military cadet named Lyta Zod. She is related to General Zod, who would be Superman's future nemesis. She will have "a clandestine, forbidden romance" with Seg-El.
