Jim Carrey Accused of Giving Ex Cathriona White STDs Which Led to Her Suicide
Celebrity

Mark Burton amended his wrongful death lawsuit and included some text messages in which White told Carrey in 2013 that she might have contracted an STD.

Cathriona White's husband continues to blame Jim Carrey for her death. Mark Burton, who is suing Carrey claiming the actor helped provide drugs that killed White, made another shocking allegation against him as he amended his wrongful death lawsuit on Thursday, September 22.

In his new documents, which TMZ has obtained, Burton said that White told Carrey in February 2013 via a text message that she might have contracted an STD. After getting tested, she found out she had Herpes Type I, Herpes Type 2 and Gonorrhea. Meanwhile, Carrey asked her not to tell anyone about it.

Burton went on stating that White told him about the STDs before she committed suicide in September 2015. She wrote a letter to Burton, saying that her condition would make it impossible for her to find someone new after her split from Carrey. She allegedly called herself "damaged goods."

To support his latest claim, Burton included in his suit the 2013 text messages between Carrey and White, including ones that referenced to the STDs.

Carrey hasn't commented on the news, but he said earlier this week that Burton's lawsuit was just a "heartless attempt to exploit me or the woman I loved." Responding to the allegations that he made White overdose on prescription drugs he illegally obtained, the 54-year-old star said, "Cat's troubles were born long before I met her and sadly her tragic end was beyond anyone's control. I really hope that some day soon people will stop trying to profit from this and let her rest in peace."
