AceShowbiz - DC superhero fans want Shia LaBeouf to be included in the world of Batman. An online petition addressed to Warner Bros., Zack Snyder, Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns has been launched on Change.org, demanding the "American Honey" actor to be cast as Jason Todd a.k.a. Red Hood in the DC Extended Universe.

"Shia labeouf is willing to go the distance to be the best that his character can be in recent films," reads the online letter launched by redhoodinc which already has more than 450 supporters. It states that it's an opportunity for the 30-year-old "Transformers" actor to show the world "what an amazing actor he can truly be."

"Shia labeouf is truly one of the most talented actors in Hollywood if you seen his recent films," claims the petition launcher, "If you know the character Jason Todd aka red hood And if you know Shia labeouf then u can see how similar they are in and how perfect this casting choice is for Shia labeouf."

It also notes that a lot of people hated Affleck when he was cast as Batman before saying that people consider him to be an amazing Caped Crusader depicter after his appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". "Now he is loved by many after they say what an amazing performance Ben Affleck could do as Batman," reads the petition.

Jason Todd, who became the second character to take up the identity of Robin after Dick Grayson, was killed by The Joker in "A Death in the Family" story arc. He was later resurrected via the Lazarus pit and took up the new alias of Red Hood in "Under the Hood".
