AceShowbiz - James Marsden regrets turning down a role in "Magic Mike". In an interview with GQ, in which he was named the World's Handsomest Man for his cover shot on the October 2016 issue, the "Enchanted" actor revealed that he was offered and turned down a role in the Channing Tatum-led male strippers movie.

"[Steven Soderbergh] is one of my favorites," the Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops of the "X-Men" film series told the magazine. "But I didn't know if I trusted myself to be good enough in this to not have my two dozen lines end up on the editing-room floor. I'd look like a naked extra in this movie."

Though he didn't specifically say which role he was offered, the 43-year-old actor admitted he did regret passing on the part. "It's perfect the way it worked out," he shared. "But that's one of the only ones I'm like, Hmm. I didn't know it was gonna be the massive success that it was." "Magic Mike" grossed over $100 million at the domestic box office in 2012.

Marsden also admitted that he chose some films which ended up being flops over the blockbuster movie, but he didn't regret his choices. "I've done some films that, on paper, were really interesting and special. And for some reason, when they got on-screen, it just didn't work," he said. "Well, I didn't get to watch the film before I decided to do it."

The former Versace model will play Teddy Flood on the sci-fi series "Westworld", which also stars Evan Rachel Wood, Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris. It will premiere October 2 at 9 P.M. on HBO and in the U.K. on Sky Atlantic in October.
