Colbie Caillat has premiered new song "Goldmine" off her upcoming album "The Malibu Sessions", which is due out on October 7. Fans can pre-order the album on iTunes and get "Goldmine" right away. The song is also available on Spotify.

"Goldmine" features Colbie's beautiful whistle along with the sound of ukulele and light percussion. "If all I had was a dollar and your bright smile/ I'd have a dollar more than I would need to get by/ cause I'm a billionaire if you count every sunrise/ walkin' by your side and every good night," she sings.

In an interview with Billboard, Colbie explains the story behind "Goldmine". The "Lucky" songstress says she's actually never met Taylor, who co-wrote the song, but she was almost instantly hooked on the track when her friend Kara DioGuardi passed it along to her.

"Within three minutes of hearing [Berrett's] idea I was singing it on repeat," she says, "I ran upstairs and played it for Jason Reeves and we instantly started writing to it. We called Kara on Skype so the three of us could write it together. She was at her cozy house in Maine and we were at our beach house in California. Within minutes we finished the song and started recording it right away, rearranging our song priority recording list. This happy, warm song is definitely one of the most unique ways I've ever written."
