Tom Sizemore was arrested on Tuesday, July 19 for alleged domestic violence. The actor, known for his roles in such films as "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down", was taken into custody around 9:40 A.M. after LAPD received multiple 911 calls about a woman screaming.

According to TMZ, when cops arrived, the woman who's later identified as the actor's girlfriend said she and Tom got into an argument that turned physical. She claimed that he struck her in the head and face. Cops reportedly saw visible injuries but she refused medical attention.

The 54-year-old actor/producer was being held on $50,000 bail. His manager Charles Lago declined to comment on his recent arrest.

This isn't the first Tom's involved in domestic violence. In 2003, he was sentenced to 6 months in jail for beating up then-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss. He has also been arrested several times on drug and probation violations. He was imprisoned from August 2007 to January 2009 for violating his probation in a drug-related case.

Just two months ago, Tom was involved in an accident on the set of USA Network's new series "Shooter" which killed a stunt worker. While filming a scene for the show, Tom was supposed to run into an awaiting Cadillac SUV and stay there until the scene ended, but the stunt coordinator told him to pull out, so he drove the car in reverse and ran over the stuntman.
