As the wedding day of Mariah Carey and James Packer approaches, a source close to the pair has revealed new detail of their relationship. In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, the source claimed that the 46-year-old star wanted to "save herself for the wedding night."

"I hear that it has been a mostly platonic relationship," the source said, adding that the pair probably held off on having sex until they exchange vows. "According to what I hear she wants to save herself for the wedding night," the source continued.

According to a recent report, the "We Belong Together" singer and the Australian businessman are set to tie the knot on the exclusive island of Barbuda in the Caribbean. The wedding ceremony will reportedly be attended by only 50 guests and will take place sometime in the summer.

Last week, Mariah also gave updates on her wedding with her fiance. She said that the preparation's going well and she even already got her wedding dress. "You know what? It's time. The dress and the whole thing. I'm working and he's working and everyone puts so much pressure," she said. "I have the dress. It's in a box, darling."
