Ike Barinholtz Joins Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn in 'Mother/Daughter' Comedy

Ike will play Amy's brother, while Jonathan Levine will direct the movie from a script by 'Ghostbusters' reboot scribe Katie Dippold.

AceShowbiz - Ike Barinholtz has been added to the cast of upcoming comedy "Mother/Daughter". The "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" actor is joining Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn. He will play Amy's brother, according to Deadline.

Jonathan Levine ("50/50") will direct "Mother/Daughter" from a script by Katie Dippold ("Ghostbusters (2016)", "Parks and Recreation", "The Heat"). Christopher Meloni and Oscar Jaenada will also star in the comedy.

Chernin Entertainment's Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are producing alongside Feigco Entertainment's Paul Feig and Jessie Henderson. Amy, Katie and Kimberly Caramele will serve as executive producers and provided additional script work. Daria Cercek is overseeing for Fox.

"Mother/Daughter" is inspired by Katie's relationship with her own mother. The comedy will be released in the U.S. on May 12, 2017.

Ike will be seen next in DC supervillain flick "Suicide Squad" alongside Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie and in Peter Landesman's biopic "Felt" opposite Liam Neeson. The 39-year-old actor is co-star, co-writer and co-producer of Hulu's "The Mindy Project".
