Here's some good news for everyone who can't wait to see "Pitch Perfect 3". Universal Pictures announced Monday, May 9 that they moved up the movie to July 21, 2017, its original release date before it was pushed back several months ago to August 4, 2017.

Because of the shift, the film will now open against Fox's animated flick "The Story of Ferdinand", Christopher Nolan's thriller "Dunkirk" starring Tom Hardy and Luc Besson's sci-fi "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets".

Plot details of "Pitch Perfect 3" are sill scarce, but the movie will once again be directed by Elizabeth Banks and reuniting Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. Its previous installments performed really well at box office with the original, 2012's "Pitch Perfect", grossing $115 million worldwide on a $17 million budget.

Last year's "Pitch Perfect 2" did better, taking in around $288 million worldwide including $184.2 million domestically on a $29 million budget. With $69.2 million in its first weekend, the sequel logged the highest-grossing movie-musical opening of all time.
