Movie

The reshoots are planned to inject more fun into the film following the release of the new trailer that is quite misleading.

AceShowbiz - Months after it wrapped filming, the cast and crew of "Suicide Squad" will be back on the set for reshoots. The reshoots will reportedly take place this week to add more fun to the film, following the release of the latest trailer that is actually a bit misleading.

While the trailer received positive responses from fans due to its jokes, it apparently didn't represent the actual film. Thus, according to Birth.Movies.Death, Warner Bros. requests the reshoots to inject some fun and lighten the tone of the movie.

It's additionally said that the plan is not to insert "jokes left and right but that they're beefing up fun character moments and interactions."

It appears that the studio has learned a thing or two from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" which was perceived lack of fun. While the movie performed well at box office, it's heavily criticized by movie critics.

"Suicide Squad" stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne among others. Directed by David Ayer, the DC supervillain flick is due to hit U.S. theaters on August 5.
