The upcoming crossover between 'The Flash' and 'Supergirl' is only one of the exciting plans Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti have for the series.

AceShowbiz - Here's a good news for Wonder Woman fans. Lynda Carter, who portrayed the classic version of the character on screen, is touted to make an appearance on CBS' "Supergirl".

The question of which other character may come and visit Melissa Benoist's Kara inevitably came up after the screening of the upcoming "The Flash" and "Supergirl" crossover. Executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti said they were working towards bringing a familiar face.

"We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter," Berlanti said as quoted by Entertainment Weekly. "We couldn't work out her schedule. Next year." Kreisberg chimed in, "We're going to do it, we'll just do it next year."

It was not that hard to fish out further clue about what character Carter will play. "All right, she's the female president of the United States," Berlanti revealed.

There have been several superhero alums who appeared on the series. Dean Cain, who portrayed Superman on "Lois and Clark", and former "Supergirl" star Helen Slater played Kara's adoptive parents.

Carter played the iconic female superhero on television from 1975 to 1979. She also popped up as a guest star on "Smallville" in 2007.
