Margot Robbie is attached to headline a true-story pic "I, Tonya". The Australian actress is set to play the role of American ice skater, Tonya Harding, who was infamous for her involvement in the attack on her rival Nancy Kerrigan in 1994.

Harding became the second woman and the first American woman to complete a triple Axel jump in competition. She was later stripped off her title and banned for life by U.S. Figure Skating Championships following the Kerrigan scandal.

The role of Kerrigan hasn't been cast just yet. No director is announced for the biopic either. The movie is produced by Bryan Unkeless who is also producing "Bright" which landed on Netflix with Max Landis on script, David Ayer at the helm, as well as Will Smith and Joel Edgerton on the lead role.

Margot Robbie rose to fame with her role in Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street". She will next play Harley Quinn in "Suicide Squad" and Jane in "The Legend of Tarzan".
