CBS has found the new MacGyver. Lucas Till who plays Havok in the next "X-Men: Apocalypse" has just been booked to play the secret agent made famous by Richard Dean Anderson on the original television series.

The upcoming TV remake is expected to follow a 20-something MacGyver as he gets recruited into a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening.

Joshua Boone will portray Gunner, MacGyver's best friend from high school, while George Eads will play the role of Lincoln. David Von Ancken is set to direct the pilot and exec produce alongside original "MacGyver" creator Lee Zlotoff.

Besides getting a TV reboot, the classic series is heading to the big screen. James Wan who was previously attached to helm the new series' pilot but had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts is now expected to sit behind the lens for the feature film.
