Adults can soon enjoy an animated film created especially for them. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have been working on the R-rated comedy "Sausage Party", which Sony has just teased by unveiling its first image. Rogen also posted the same still on his Twitter page Tuesday, March 1.

"Behold!!!! The first image from SAUSAGE PARTY!!! Coming this Summer!" the comedian wrote, captioning the picture of four talking pieces of food. The film is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on August 12, but it will first get a work-in-progress premiere at SXSW this month.

"Sausage Party" tells the tale of one sausage's quest to discover the truth about his existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, our hero sausage and his new friends embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket to get back to their aisles before the 4th of July sale.

The comedy boasts star-studded voice cast that includes Rogen himself, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz and Salma Hayek. Rogen and Goldberg, whose previous screenwriting credits include "This is the End", "Pineapple Express" and the upcoming "Preacher", penned the script alongside Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter. Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon direct the film.
