The 'Steve Jobs' actress couldn't hold back her tears when the 41-year-old actor was named Best Actor for his role in 'The Revenant' at the Sunday awards show.

AceShowbiz - Kate Winslet got very emotional when her "Titanic" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio took home his first-ever Oscar after he was nominated six times. "The Dressmaker" actress couldn't hold back her tears when Julianne Moore announced that Leo won Best Actor in a Leading Role for "The Revenant" at the Sunday, February 28 awards show.

Unlike Leo who was all smiles as he received a standing ovation from the A-list audience, Kate broke down in tears when Leo took the stage to deliver his speech. She also had to wipe away her tears of joy while listening to Leo's speech.

"Thank you to [Alejandro G. Inarritu] and Chivo [cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki] for creating a transcendent cinematic experience," Leo said during his speech. He went on praising the director and the entire cast who had helped him earn his award. He also talked about climate change and indigenous people. Closing his speech, Leo said, "Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take this night for granted."

Kate was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Steve Jobs", but she didn't win. Leo had previously been nominated for Best Actor for his roles in "The Aviator" (2004), "Blood Diamond (2006) and "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013). He was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" (1993) and best picture as a producer of "Wolf".
