Kellan Lutz revealed the truth behind his rumored relationship with Miley Cyrus. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 30-year-old actor set the record straight, saying that he and the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker never had a special relationship.

Lutz was linked to Cyrus after she split from her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth, but the "Twilight" actor said that they're not more than friends. "We never dated," Lutz explained. "It was hearsay, that was all gossip stuff."

Instead of feeling shocked, Lutz said that he was so happy about Cyrus and Hemsworth, who recently got reengaged. "It's something that I've even gone through in relationships," Lutz shared. "You can date someone and it's not necessarily healthy because both people are growing. Then you kind of reconnect years later."

Lutz also hoped that the couple's romance would last forever. "I'm so happy for her and Liam," he added. "I hope they're very happy and it lasts forever, cause they're both beautiful people."

Cyrus and Lutz first sparked romance rumor back in December 2013. The two were spotted together at Beacher's Madhouse after watching Britney Spears' Las Vegas show. According to an eyewitness, Cyrus gave him a kiss on the cheek and he embraced her. However, Lutz later blamed photographers for spreading rumor that he's dating Cyrus, saying that he only focused on work.
