Paris' paternal grandparents are 'extremely freak out' after she admitted that she's attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings following her suicide attempt.

AceShowbiz - Paris Jackson has made her paternal grandparents Katherine and Joe worry following her recent revelation that she's attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings following her suicide attempt. A Jackson family friend told Radar Online that Katherine and Joe, "are extremely freaked out right now by her actions."

"They don't know what to do because they are just in shock over her behavior," the insider added, "The fact that she's in A.A. absolutely horrifies them because they are both so old-school. They want to pretend like addiction does not exist in their family. Sadly, that could not be further from the truth."

In 2013, just four years after Michael Jackson's death, Paris allegedly tried to commit suicide over the trauma. Paris later went to a rehabilitation center where she learned to overcome her struggle with depression. "Paris never did any drugs or drank prior to her time spent at rehab," the source claimed.

However, when she was dating ex-boyfriend Chester Castellaw, the two allegedly dabbled in experimentation and when the pair split, "Paris started to get depressed." The source added, "Luckily she had some close friends who were in A.A., and they got her to start attending meetings."

"Thankfully, it worked," the source continued, "She hangs out with only sober people and she has a sponsor. Although it is new to her, she is definitely on the right path."

However, Paris "has not figured out what she wants to do with her life." According to the source, "she is just really focused on finding her spirituality right now through recovery and other methods. Michael would be very proud of his baby girl."
