Woody Harrelson is one of the 66 applicants hoping to open one of Hawaii's first medical marijuana dispensaries. "The Hunger Games" actor is applying for the permit in Honolulu County under his company, Simple Organic Living.

The other applicants are Henk Rogers who created the game "Tetris", Dirk Fukushima who produced local TV show "Hawaii Stars", and former Big Save supermarket president Charles Kawakami. Eligible applicants must have lived in Hawaii for more than five years.

Hawaii is the first state in the United States to legalize a medical marijuana program back in 2000. Under a law passed in 2015, the state will award eight licenses for marijuana business owners across the islands. The green light is expected to be given in April and dispensaries are set to open in July.

Woody Harrelson, 54, is not the only celebrity to launch cannabis line. Willie Nelson and Wiz Khalifa also have their own brands of weed.
