The 'Louie' creator released the first episode of his new web series on Saturday, January 30.

AceShowbiz - Louis C.K. released the first episode of his new web series "Horace and Pete% with no prior announcement on Saturday, January 30. The "Louie" creator stars in the dark comedy show along with Steve Buscemi.

Louis alerted his fans to the new series via email, announcing that the first episode of the series was available for download on his website louisck.net for $5. Dubbed "a brand new thing from Louis C.K.," the announcement read, "Hi there. 'Horace and Pete' episode one is available for download. $5. Go here to watch it. We hope you like it. Regards, Louis."

"Horace and Pete" is created, written and directed by Louis. The 48-year-old comedian and Steve are joined by an all-star cast including Alan Alda, Edie Falco, Jessica Lange, Steven Wright, Rebecca Hall and "Saturday Night Live"'s Aidy Bryant. Paul Simon writes and performs the show's theme song.

Louis addressed his indefinite hiatus from "Louie" at the Television Critics Assn. winter press tour earlier this month. When asked when he expected to bring the show back, the comedian replied, "I don't know. I just don't know. I don't know. I think about it sometimes and I just don't know. It's such an autobigraphical thing that I could do a version of 'Louie' when he's 60, if anyone gives a s**t... By the time I want to, I might say, 'Hey guys,' and they'll be like, 'Who is this?' "
