While the couple hasn't confirmed the happy news, TMZ has learned details of the romantic moment. The site reports that James got down on one knee and proposed to Mariah in front of her close friends during a private dinner at Eleven Madison Park, NYC on Thursday night, January 21.

According to E! News, he proposed to her with a 35-carat diamond ring. No wedding date is set just yet.

A source gushes about the couple, "They fell head over heels in love with one another. It's crazy how perfect they are together, they both know it and couldn't be happier." The insider adds, "As soon as their friendship turned romantic, they have wanted to spend every moment together."
