The first footage of "The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist" has arrived. While director James Wan tweeted on Wednesday, January 6 that the teaser for the horror movie would be released on the following day, the official YouTube channel of Warner Bros. Portugal posted a 1-minute footage of the movie on the same day.

The video opens with a mysterious clapping sound inside a house. A middle-aged woman (Frances O'Connor) then tries to find the source of the sound in her house. She is approaching the door of the basement which is left open. She says, "Whosoever down there I will lock you now." She then enters the basement but suddenly the door is locked and the only lamp is shattering. The woman then lights a match in the dark before clapping hands appear behind her.

"This year comes the next true story from the case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren," read the words appearing in the teaser. The video also shows a music box which plays by itself in the middle of the night while some children are sleeping.

The official Facebook page of "The Conjuring 2" also released new images from the movie. In one picture, Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) looks frightened as she stands up in a room with a lot of crosses. Another picture shows Ed (Patrick Wilson) holding a small cross while an overthrown cupboard can be seen in the background.
