Movie

Coming along with Warhead's photo are two snaps which give a look at Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool, Stefan Kapicic's Colossus and Gina Carano's Angel Dust.

Good news comes for "Deadpool" fans as Empire has released several photos of the red-suited superhero (Ryan Reynolds) ahead of the magazine's release. In addition to featuring the Merc With a Mouth, the photos show a glimpse of Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Gina Carano's Angel Dust.

The first photo sees Warhead, Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Deadpool walking side-by-side with the former pointing his finger to the camera. The other photo features Dust as she is trying to get up after seemingly beaten off in a battle against Colossus.

Meanwhile, the last photo captures the fourth wall-breaking superhero sitting on what appears to be aircraft wreckage with Warhead beneath him. In the photo, Warhead wears a New Mutants uniform instead of an X-Men uniform. Does this means Warhead is one of the members of New Mutants? Or will she become the leader of the group? While it remains to be seen whether the speculation is true, it may be a strategy Marvel uses to introduce fans to "The New Mutants", an "X-Men" spin-off that will be released in 2017.

"This film certainly works within the context of the X-Men universe," Reynolds said of "Deadpool" before adding, "but it doesn't necessarily include the sensibilities of an X-Men movie. It's like taking an X-Men character, pumping him full of LSD and then releasing him back into the fold."

"Deadpool" tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wilson, who agrees to become the subject of a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers. He later uses his abilities as Deadpool to fight against criminals in town. Reynolds is joined by the likes of Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller in the cast. Directed by Tim Miller, the movie is due to arrive in the U.S. on February 12, 2016.
