There have been several details about "Justice League Part One", but there is no idea about who will lead the titular team. The newest printed edition of EW finally sheds the light on the matter, suggesting that Ben Affleck's Batman will be the leader of the fictional superhero group.
In an interview with the outlet, the Caped Crusader himself, Affleck, explained the role of his character in the upcoming movie. "Batman represents human beings, mortal men," he said. "In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy."
Affleck later continued sharing his idea about Batman becoming the leader of the team. "It's interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books - I'm not sure how that will play out here - but his humanity is also an asset," he pointed out.
Also in the interview was Jeremy Irons, who explained his role as Alfred J. Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's loyal butler. "Alfred is a lot more hands on in our film that he has previously been. He's a bit of a grease monkey, and he's very involved in the decisions Bruce makes," Irons shared.
The movie is set to begin pre-production in January 2016 in the U.K. with Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams reprising their roles as Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Lois Lane respectively.
Zack Snyder will direct the movie with a script penned by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. Produced by Dan Lin and Doug Mitchell, "Justice League" will hit theaters in North America on November 12, 2017.
