Lumos Maxima! 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' Teaser Trailer Arrives
Movie

Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander arrives in New York, bringing his suitcase full of magical creatures.

The first teaser trailer for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" have arrived, taking "Harry Potter" fanboys step into J.K. Rowling's wizarding world once again. Instead of taking place in London like the previous flicks, it introduces fans to the wizard and non-wizard communities in the U.S.

The promo video offers a lot of suspense. It opens with a voice whispering "lumos maxima" that is sure reminding fans of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" where the spell to produce a bright white light was first introduced.

Another voice then says, "Yesterday, a wizard entered New York with a case. A case full of magical creatures, and unfortunately some have escaped." It follows with Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander opening his suitcase "just a smidge."

Newt Scamander is a Magizoologist who wrote a textbook used by Harry and his friends at Hogwarts. Warner Bros initially planned to follow him tracking magical beasts, but Rowling pitched a better idea and so she was tapped to write the screenplay.

Directed by David Yates, the film is scheduled for November 18, 2016. It's supported by Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Dan Fogler.
