AceShowbiz - Although there won't be any new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer, fans can get some new looks at the movie's characters through some newly-debuted posters. LucasFilm has released four character posters which feature Harrison Ford's Han Solo, Carrie Fisher's Leia, Daisy Ridley's Rey, John Boyega's Finn and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren.
Rey is seen in the middle of the Jakku desert with several TIE fighters flying in the sky. Meanwhile, Leia appears together with Solo, who wields a weapon. There is also a glimpse of the main villain Ren in front of a group of First Order stormtroopers.
In other news, a Chinese poster for the movie recently stirred controversy. It was deemed racist because Boyega's character was shrunk in the poster. It looked a little bit different from the English-language version, which put the spotlight on both Rey and Finn. Other characters played by non-white actors, including Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron and Lupita Nyong'o's Maz Kanata, were missing. Peter Mayhew's Chewbacca was also omitted from the poster.
The controversial poster sparked complaints from fans. Among those who criticized the poster was Ray Kwong, a Hong Kong-based columnist and political commentator, who wrote, "Finn (who happens to be black) and Chewbacca (happens to be Wookiee) get shafted in China."
