After releasing a photo which gives a look at Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma, Empire has debuted a series of images which show some central characters of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". The most interesting one is the photo which features Oscar Isaac's X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron, who is taken hostage by the sinister forces of The First Order.

The image shows the character, who serves as a pilot in the Resistance, walking alongside a Stormtrooper in what appears to be a First Order base with his wrists in chains. The fierce trooper points his massive weapon to Dameron.

The site also released six magazine covers which feature Rey (Daisy Ridley) and BB-8 in Jakku, Phasma, Finn (John Boyega) wielding his blue lightsaber, Dameron wearing his pilot costume, villainous Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford), who is accompanied by Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew).

The next installment of "Star Wars" movie franchise takes place approximately 30 years after the events of "Return of the Jedi". The film also stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis and Domhnall Gleeson. Directed by J.J. Abrams, "The Force Awakens" will arrive stateside on December 18.
