David Beckham has earned the title of PEOPLE magazine's Sexiest Man Alive of 2015. In an interview with the magazine, the former soccer star keeps low profile and hopes that his wife, Victoria Adams, also thinks that he's the sexiest man alive for her.

"It's a huge honor," David says of receiving the magazine's 30th anniversary Sexiest Man crown. "And I'm very pleased to accept." Despite the title, the father of four says, "I never feel that I'm an attractive, sexy person. I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good, but I don't ever think of myself that way."

Of his wife Victoria's reaction to his new title, David explains, "I would hope that she feels this way about me all the time anyway. But she said, 'Congratulations!' " The former Manchester United soccer player also opens up about his sons' reaction after they learned of his new title. "We kind of laughed about it with the boys and the boys kind of laughed at me and said, 'Really?! Sexiest man alive? Really?' " he tells the publication.

David's eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, who has followed in the footsteps of his parents by becoming a model, teased him about the title. "Brooklyn was the one who was like, 'Are you sure it's not me that's meant to be there today?' " David reveals.

The magazine also posts on YouTube a number of videos to honor the new Sexiest Man Alive. One of the videos shows David's transformation since he was young to the present. Another video shows David telling the camera about his family's reaction to the news that he's honored with the title.
