Does Chris Pine Play More Than One Role in 'Wonder Woman'?
Movie

The 'Star Trek' actor reportedly has a dual role in the Wonder Woman movie, playing Steve Trevor in the modern day and portraying the character's grandfather in the past.

AceShowbiz - The upcoming "Wonder Woman" is said to be set in multiple eras and Chris Pine has confirmed that he plays Steve Trevor in the superheroine movie. Latest rumor from Heroic Hollywood says that Chris may play a dual role in the movie. Besides starring as Steve, he reportedly portrays the character's ancestor.

The rumor says that Chris also plays Steve's grandfather, the one who shows Diana Prince the outside world and helps her beat Ares. And after that, he passes away. In the modern day, Diana meets the grandpa's descendant who looks exactly like him, Steve. He then helps her battle Ares again.

The rumor comes after the first look at Chris as Steve surfaced. The photo features Chris and co-star Said Taghmaoui dressing up in early 20th century clothing. It seemingly indicates that the two actors are filming scenes taking place during World War One, one of the rumored time periods on which "Wonder Woman" is supposed to be set. Fans are confused because they assume that Steve will appear in the present day, not in the past, so they start to speculate that Chris is also up for another role that appears in the past.

"Wonder Woman" is said to center on the Amazonian Princess (Gal Gadot), who becomes emissary to civilization in her home of Paradise Island in the 1920s. Directed by Patty Jenkins, "Wonder Woman" is slated for a release in U.S. theaters on June 23, 2017.
