The heavy metal band sent their condolences to those who suffered from the Paris attacks, and revealed that their November 15 concert was scrapped in respect of the victims.

AceShowbiz - Heavy metal band Motorhead is one of the musicians making last minute plans in the wake of Paris attacks. The band, led by Lemmy Kilmister, was asked to cancel their scheduled Sunday, November 15 concert in the French capital by the Ministry of Culture.

"Our hearts go out to all who have suffered in Paris tonight. We are so sorry; it is so utterly horrific," the group wrote in a statement. "Thank you to everyone who has asked about us all. Everyone in the Motorcamp is safe, although as you have probably heard, Paris and, indeed, France, is understandably on lockdown until local authorities can gauge the full extent of what has occurred. We just hope everyone can heal."

The show was supposed to take place at the Zenith Theater in the northern 19th district of Paris. The gig will now happen next year. "Because of the serious situation in Paris we have to postpone our gig until January. We are rescheduling and will give details ASAP," the band said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, show production company Gerard Drouot Productions wrote on Facebook on behalf of the Ministry of Culture. "Following the tragic events that occurred last night in Paris, the Ministry of Culture has taken the decision to close the Zenith Paris - La Villette Sunday, November 15," it said. "The official Motorhead concert scheduled ...is therefore postponed to a later date, probably on 21 January. We will confirm this report shortly."

Paris was put on emergency state after hundreds were killed by terrorists at public places. More than 80 people died at Bataclan, a legendary concert hall in the city, where Eagles of Death Metal was playing. Motorhead's drummer Mikkey Dee had planned to attend the concert but, luckily, overslept, a rep of the band said.

Many public spaces in Paris had been closed in the wake of the tragedy. U2 canceled their Saturday concert while Foo Fighters scrapped the remainder of the European tour dates. Papa Roach is still determining whether they would go on with their Monday show at Paris' Olympia Theater. Marilyn Manson is also on schedule to perform a concert on Monday at the Zenith Theater but has not released any statement.
