Nicole Kidman is set to star in "The Silent Wife", a thriller to be directed by "Unfaithful" director Adrian Lyne, Deadline has learned. Billy Ray is on board to write the screenplay of the movie which is based on A.S.A. Harrison novel of the same name.
The "Grace of Monaco" actress will play Jodi, a dedicated wife who discovers that her husband starts an affair with a younger woman. When confronted with the truth, she begins to plot his murder.
Lyne is no stranger to the genre, having directed several movies about infidelity and obsession such as "Fatal Attraction" and "Indecent Proposal". Kidman and Per Saari are producing for Blossom Film along with Lyne, Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan (Mazur/Kaplan Company).
Kidman was most recently seen in "Queen of the Desert", a drama about a British explorer in which she starred alongside Robert Pattinson. As for Ray, his credits include "The Hunger Games", "Captain Phillips" and "The Secret in Their Eyes".
