Fox and Thompson were joined by the likes of Christopher Lloyd and Huey Lewis at a special screening to celebrate the movie's 30th anniversary.

AceShowbiz - Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Huey Lewis took over AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York City on Wednesday to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic film "Back to the Future". The event included a special screening of 1989's "Back to the Future 2", where Marty McFly (Fox) time traveled to the future, October 21, 2015, to save his children.
Interviewed on the red carpet, some of the leading actors gave their opinions about some predictions made in the classic film. While things like videocall applications and fingerprint scanners came true, some of them such as flying cars and self-tying shoelaces did not.
One prediction that seems to be important for some actors is The Chicago Cubs winning the National League Championship series. Fox admitted that he was a little torn knowing that the prediction turned out to be wrong. "It's tough because I'm a New Yorker and I would love to see the Mets do well. But I'd love the see the film be right. So I'm torn," he said.
Meanwhile, Lloyd said he was excited when he knew that the film could give positive impacts for young generations at that time. "It's amazing how many people said to me that a movie they saw when they were adolescents had solved a problem of career choice. They saw the movie and wanted to be astrophysicists, engineers, or doctors," he shared.
Thompson said that the classic trilogy had a power to bring families together. "It's something to share with your family because you can show your kids what the 80s were or the grandparents can show what the 50s were like," she said.
After the red carpet, a Q&A was held in the auditorium for fans before the screening started. Doc Brown's iconic vehicle DeLorean was also displayed at the event. Also in the attendance were Claudia Wells, Donald Fullilove and composer Alan Silvestri.
