Lionsgate has released an international trailer for its upcoming drama thriller "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". The movie is described as an expanded version of Jane Austen's classic tale, probably because it includes zombies in a Victorian-era love story.

The trailer opens with some common elements literary drama usually consists: classic piano instrument, royal ball and 19th-century dresses and buildings. It also gives a look at a woman trying to survive in polite society. "To succeed in polite society, a young woman must be many things. Kind, well-read and accomplished. But to survive in the world as we know it, she'll need other qualities," a woman says in voiceover.

The situation drastically changes when a female zombie emerges. Lily James' character and four other fellow duchesses find themselves thrust on an action-packed situation only to become zombie slayers.

The film is based on Seth Grahame-Smith's novel, which reimagined Austen's classic Victorian story to involve the undead. Grahame-Smith revealed the tone of the movie earlier this year in a panel at a convention. "[Director Steers] Burr totally understands the tone of this absolutely ridiculous, stupid film, and that the only way to go at it is without ever once winking at the audience," he said.

The movie also stars Sam Riley, Bella Heathcote, Suki Waterhouse and Lena Headey. It is set for a release in the U.S. on February 5, 2016.
